Besobila

Besobila (Sacred Basil) is a type of holy basil (tulsi) that grows wild in Ethiopia. It is harvested and sundried, then sometimes toasted before being ground into a powder form. Besobila has a delicate and distinct flavor, and is used in many Ethiopian and Eritrean dishes, such as Kibe (spiced butter), Berbere (spice mixture), Shiro (stew), and a variety of other dishes.
